We are two sisters from Wisconsin who have been painting and drawing all our lives. Besides painting glassware, Terry is also a pet portrait artist. We both collaborate on our ideas and and combine our different styles to come up with our glassware!
So how did we get started painting glassware? We began by painting wine glasses as gifts and found they were quite popular. We would give wine glasses or glassware as gifts paired with wine or filled with Ginny's fabulous homemade buttery pretzel and beer caramels....Mmmmm! (I'm telling you those are SO good!!) Weddings were next...and the has quickly spread! We love to cook, so naturally next were olive oil bottles, and soap dispensers! If you cook you have to clean up right, unless you can rope someone else into the job...probably not?! We love animals and think you'll find that this love comes through in some special glassware here and more are in the development stage. Terry is busy coming up with an equestrian line and developing glassware to be used as prizes at dog and horse shows. So that's us in a nutshell, I think we're both pretty used to waking up in the middle of the night with ideas that come from seemingly nowhere, and off we go to sketch or jot down those ideas so we don't forget...okay and maybe a bit of a midnight snack too, caramels anyone?!
Terry and I were at the Donna Lexa Memorial Art Fair on Saturday in Wales, WI. Had an iffy beginning with a thunderstorm, but we got our booth set up right before the heavy downpour started, and once the storm passed, the weather was beautiful. We met so many great, inspiring people, and had 2 of the nicest neighbors on each side of us selling photography and beautiful original artwork. It was a great day!
